Founding Robotics Engineer: Field Deployment

The role involves owning on-site operations, ensuring fleet functionality, and feeding deployment lessons back into the product. Location & Work Mode
Munich, Germany
Travel: Customer sites across Germany and Europe in short blocks.
Compensation
Salary range: 70-110k EUR per year.
Equity: Competitive VSOP/ESOP.
Key Responsibilities
Bring up quadrupeds, wheeled robots, and drones with payloads, sensors, and compute.
Deploy at customer sites: mapping, calibration, tuning, and debugging in the field.
Docker, CI, OTA updates, logging, and telemetry.
Tune perception on-site: detection, tracking, thermal, and night vision.
Connect robots to existing systems, control rooms, alarm systems, and cameras.
Turn site lessons into repeatable, automated deployment processes.
Must Have
Experience deploying robots in production at customer sites and maintaining them.
Strong ROS2, C++, and Python skills with hardware debugging expertise.
Hands-on experience with quadrupeds, wheeled robots, or drones.
German (B2 or higher) and fluent English for customer communication.
BSc/MSc or equivalent proven experience, and familiarity with AI coding agents.
Good to Have
Experience with autonomy stacks.
Knowledge of electronics and 3D printing.
Field application and customer-facing experience.
