Founding Engineer (Full-Stack / AI)
Overview
A startup rethinking logistics with an AI-native layer for freight forwarders, aiming to make global logistics fully autonomous. The role is Founding Engineer, reporting directly to the founders, with ownership of key product full-stack components. This is an opportunity to build the product from the ground up in a fast-paced environment with equity options.

Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain critical parts of the product with clean architecture.
Evaluate, benchmark, and fine-tune AI capabilities for maximum domain accuracy.
Experiment with new models, frameworks, and techniques, shipping updates rapidly.
Must Have
Experience navigating large-scale and messy legacy code.
Ability to build scalable systems and infrastructure for rapid growth and heavy AI workloads.
Proficiency in backend and cloud environments using modern languages like Python and Go.
Strong results-oriented work ethic with autonomy and proactive mindset.
Intellectual humility and adaptability to change based on data or experiments.
Good to Have
Experience with AI model evaluation and fine-tuning.
Familiarity with agentic techniques and production experimentation.
Knowledge of German language

You will work closely with the founders in a small, elite team, taking ownership from day one. The role offers full autonomy to experiment with models, frameworks, and tools, with no limits on LLM usage or experimentation budget.
