VP Production
Overview
A seed-stage clean technology startup with $23.6M raised is hiring a VP Production to scale its kinetic energy harvesting systems from prototype to industrial series production. The role reports to the CEO and COO and collaborates closely with the CTO. This is an opportunity to build the production and supply chain for a groundbreaking energy category.

Mils, Austria.
On-site role.
Key Responsibilities
Build and lead production, assembly, and supply chain from pilot builds to series manufacturing.
Define make-or-buy and manufacturing strategy, including in-house and external production options.
Industrialise the product with Engineering, including DFM, standard work, and end-of-line processes.
Develop a robust supplier base for hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and civil components.
Drive unit cost reduction along a clear cost roadmap.
Support quality and certification readiness, including ISO 9001 and product standards.
Plan capacity, CAPEX, and ramp-up aligned with the sales pipeline.
Must Have
Experience scaling from prototype to volume production in energy, automotive, or heavy machinery.
Strong background in supply chain, supplier development, and quality processes like Lean and APQP/PPAP.
Familiarity with hydraulics, mechatronics, or power electronics.
Leadership experience in production, operations, or industrialisation of complex hardware.
Fluent in English and German.

Hands-on start-up mentality.
